Women's Maryland Sika Archery Deer Hunt

Maryland

September 24th-27th 2026

Sika deer hunting in Maryland offers a unique and challenging experience, especially on the Eastern Shore where these elusive animals thrive in marshy wetlands. The sika deer, originally introduced from Asia, are known for their keen senses, small size, and high-pitched bugle during the rut. Hunters often pursue them in places like the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, navigating thick reeds and tidal marshes that make the hunt both physically demanding and rewarding. With mild seasons and a healthy population, Maryland has become one of the top destinations in the United States for sika deer hunters.

3 Day of guided archery Sika Deer hunting on Private ground. Arrive at September 24th, Hunting afternoon/evening of the 25th, Afternoon/Evening of the 26th, and Early morning of the 27th. (Maryland has laws on Sunday about hunting after a certain time) So we will wrap up by 10am on the 27th.

All skill levels are welcome but you really need to be confident and safe with your archery shooting and equipment.

Why Woods & Waters?

At Woods & Waters, we believe the outdoors has a way of bringing women back to themselves. Whether you’re brand new to hunting, fishing, shooting sports, or simply looking for connection and confidence outside, our events are built to create a welcoming space where women can learn, grow, and belong.

These experiences are about more than skills — they’re about community, encouragement, adventure, and stepping outside your comfort zone alongside other women who support one another. We value authenticity over perfection, curiosity over competition, and creating an environment where every participant feels respected and included.

No matter your experience level, you are welcome here.

Event Expectations & Community Standards

We work hard to create a positive, supportive atmosphere at every Woods & Waters event. By attending, participants agree to help foster that environment for everyone involved.

We ask all attendees to:

  • Treat fellow participants, guides, staff, and hosts with kindness and respect

  • Encourage others and create an inclusive environment

  • Be open-minded, patient, and supportive of different skill levels and backgrounds

  • Respect property, equipment, wildlife, and the outdoors

  • Refrain from bullying, harassment, discrimination, excessive negativity, or disruptive behavior

  • Follow all safety instructions and event guidelines at all times

Our goal is for every woman to leave feeling more confident, capable, and connected than when she arrived.

Woods & Waters reserves the right to remove any participant whose behavior negatively impacts the experience or safety of others.

Communication & Questions

Clear communication helps us create the best possible experience for everyone.

Before your event, you’ll receive important details including schedules, packing lists, lodging information, waivers, and other event updates via email and/or text communication. Please read all information carefully and respond promptly when needed.

If you have questions before, during, or after your event, we encourage you to reach out. No question is too small — we want you to feel prepared and comfortable.

We also understand that trying something new can feel intimidating. Many women attend solo, are beginners, or arrive feeling nervous. That’s completely normal, and you are not alone.

We’re here to help every step of the way. Email hello@woodsandwatersproject.com with questions!
